Cramps
I used to get up in the night with cramps in my thighs. I had to walk them out, and would sometimes eat bananas or pickle juice to combat the symptoms, but with CKD, I get cramps in my feet, and those are worse.

GFR holding…
So I was not dieting super-well. I was having two pieces of bread minimum per meal, my pizza had pepperoni & sausage action, and I was having some salty food and a fair amount of red meat.

Recalibration
So I always have to remember my diet. My eating habits are really important to my GFR and kidney health. No, the kidney’s don’t regenerate, but if I want to maintain my GFR for longer, diet might help.
