If you haven’t see the new Indiana Jones movie, I recommend you avoid reading this post now…

If you have, you may have formed an opinion. I’m not worried so much about telling what happens, as setting expectations.

I had no particular expectations, and the movie surprised and delighted me.

I think they did a really good job, and with a little context, I think it could stand alone.

I guess I really don’t want to spoil the film for you.

Maybe reply in the comments if you have or want to see it.

  1. I’ll start off with my own later thoughts and comments:

    1. There is too much violence in the film

    2. I heard that the film was not great, and I intentionally avoided reading reviews. I feel that expectations are key, and that film-viewing is and should be subjective/in the eye of the beholder; if I go to a movie with no expectations, my return on investment is usually greater. That was true here 🙂

    3. The movie is more like the JJ Abrahms Star Wars movies, Nolan Batman’s and Daniel Craig Bonds’; it is more operatic and realistic; sure, the credibility is still dramatically questionable, but you get to feeling this guy is real, and that Jones could have existed in real life; no mean feat.

  2. I would also like to have seen more of Shaunette Renée Wilson.
